Where Does Your Happyness Come From?

Happy Tuesday my friends, today I decided to take a walk in the woods and reconnect with nature. This is part of my happyness routine and I thought I’d record a video for you (in the rain) and share more of why I would do such a thing!

Waiting around for someone else to make you happy, it isn’t going to happen on a long-term basis. Maybe for short periods when all seems like heaven and then boom!

Choose your own happyness, your own peace, your own connection. It’s a button you can press inside your head to access it when ever you want or whenever you need to.

Make your own happyness from moment to moment and eventually there will be more and more of them until there is very little in between. A life of blissful moments! (because they come from within you)

I Nearly Let Procrastination Stop My Dreams

There is nothing worse than the realisation that you are standing in your own way of reaching your dreams or goals.

How? By giving in to the resistance you feel and procrastinating.

I know that feeling, I’ve been there and done that!

You don’t have to think about it like you are standing looking over the precipice. Think of it more like What is the first step I can take in the direction I want to go?

It could be buying a journal and start writing down your goals, what steps you can take to get there and then choose 1 daily step that starts putting you in that direction.

The idea that small steps will get you to where you want to go keeps you from feeling the overwhelm of big goals and dreams and keeps them within your reach by being achievable.

So for instance, if you want to run a marathon, you start by spending your first week with a set distance, say three kilometers. This is where you start to get into the habit of daily exercise and achievable goals. No one is expecting you to run this distance on the first day or even by day 5.

The idea behind doing small achievable goals every day is to start training those physical or mental muscles into a new habit or routine. You will probably walk this distance with small spurts of running for the first few weeks but soon you will be jogging this distance with ease without even noticing and your goal will change to 5k and so on.

Look at what is the first step you can achieve today that keeps you on your path to your goals or dreams and do it. You will feel great!

How I Changed Worry & Doubt Into Self Belief in 2 Days

It doesn’t feel nice when you are down in the dumps or you are constantly fretting and worrying about money or family or job, whatever it is that seems to be always at the front of your mind and in every other thought.

That was where I was at for the past 3 weeks, it happens to us all. We are in a great place and then something or someone takes you down. You shift from happiness and joy into self doubt, you question everything you do and you see the world as maybe not as friendly as you may have only seen it the day before.

I get it. That’s why I did this video for you:

So time to turn it around. The only one who can is YOU.

Journal or make a list and fill the page with everything you are thankful for. It can sometimes be hard to start when you are in this mindset so go for the obvious things like your family and friends, those closest to you, those who care about you.

The more you write down, the easier it starts to get, fill 2 or 3 pages and start doing this Daily.

Next start saying Thank You or I Love ….. (whatever it is you see) that scarf, ooh those boots, maybe you see a woman in a fantastic outfit, I love that! The more you put love out into the world, even if those things are not yours right now, the more love will be poured into your life in a very short while.

The more you say it, the more you will start FEELING it and that is when the miracles start to happen. A miracle is just a shift in perception, from fear to love 🙂

Just 4 days after shifting my mindset I was feeling joyous again and my partner and I decided to book a short getaway to Portugal. I popped over to my parents house to book it with their credit card and my Dad told me he would put a certain amount of money towards the trip!

Our trip away now is near enought free, a gift from my parents and I know from the Universe. I am so Grateful! Thank You!

Your Fears Are Very Rarely Real, I Promise

If you follow me on Facebook you will have seen I was in Stockholm in Sweden this week. I was visiting my man who works out there and it was his Birthday so he planned lots of fun for us both.

I knew he had planned to go Kayaking, some touristy stuff and generally relaxing and having fun. I didn’t think about it I was going with the flow.

That’s what I was telling myself, but let me explain a bit more in my video, it’s a very short one.

Look, our heads are full of Drama Queens who tell us the world will end if we ……… you fill in the blank.

Maybe it’s going out, speak up, dress like that, ask that person out, quit your job or rob that bank. OK, maybe the last one will change your world but you understand what I’m saying, right?

Our ego’s job is to keep us safe and in our comfort zone. Why would you want to leave this comfy place? it asks you.

Because, we can only grow, have new experiences or meet new people if we take a step outside that boundary you have set yourself. The Fear is only in our heads.

99.99% of the time that fear isn’t even REAL. We are programed for Freeze, Fight or Flight from a long long time ago in our human past when we hunted Sabre Toothed Tigers or our neighbours wanted to bash us over the head so they could steal your food, or your wife. Or Both!

The fact is we have mostly outgrown this old model of running away from the physical fears but that darned mind of ours wants to make sure the boogey man or tiger isn’t still hiding where we least expect it.

Are you sure you Really need to do this?‘ it constantly asks us, ‘You could be doing X, Y or Z instead’ It seductively offers all the things it thinks we would much rather do in a Get Out Clause option.

Like sitting on the sofa eating chocolate and wearing your favourite PJ’s!

Time to stop agreeing and stepping back. Now is the time to say ‘Actually brain I want to see just what I might find if I DO keep stepping forward and give this a try.’

Personally I’ve been recently finding the more and more I take that step out of my comfort zone and lean into my fear, I’ve been pleasantly surprised, amazed or just so damn happy that I did it.

And another thing, the more you keep pushing past that little voice, the easier and easier it gets. It just keeps sounding better and better doesn’t it?

Go for it today, you wont get eaten by a tiger. I promise ❤

Grounding Yourself When You Get Overloaded

This week was a funny one, we had constant rainy days and I was beginning to go a bit stir crazy in the house. I have been journaling quite a bit and working on wotkshops and courses so I have been in my head A Lot this week.

As soon as the rain stopped I was outta there and my intuition told me to find a beautiful spot and meditate in nature. How could I not!

While I was there I shot a video for you, watch until the end so you see what showed up while I was videoing in the middle of nowhere. (bear with the wind, I am on top of a mountain, he, he)

Grounding yourself and releasing stale and negative energy is a must if you want to keep your energy and your mood up. I was also inspired because I know not everyone gets a chance to go out into the wild all that regularly that I followed the stream I talked about in the video and shot a minute and a half for you.

Release Your Stale Energy Meditation

Play the video of this natural stream (make sure you don’t have to pee!) 🙂

  1. Close your eyes and take 5 deep breaths, as you are breathing in, imagine you are drawing in the pure, positive energy of the universe. As you breathe out, imagine all the stale and negative energy is pouring out through your feet and your breath and running down stream away from you.
  2. Open your eyes and play the video again, continue your slow, deliberate breaths as you focus on the waters journey,  watch your worries and blocks float down stream, leaving you free to fill your body with positive thoughts, love and energy.
  3.  Once you feel still and you are noticing details in or around the stream,start to give your hands and arms a shake, then your feet and legs and get that new energy moving around. Do this as often as you need to recharge.
